As a Facility/Maintenance Manager, you'll be an integral part of our Real Estate & Operations team. Your role will involve planning, developing, and leading building maintenance activities, ensuring the safety of our people and assets while driving energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives across our real estate portfolio in Slovakia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
👉 Provide maintenance expertise for existing and new stores, overseeing maintenance policies and solutions.
👉 Manage energy efficiency initiatives in real estate projects.
👉 Coordinate construction projects for new store openings and renovations, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and sustainability objectives.
🚀 Facility/Maintenance Manager in detail:
- Provides maintenance expertise by advising, proposing and applying maintenance policies and solutions for existing and new stores, revamping, relocation, sale and leaseback, downsizing and extension projects including negotiating maintenance split lists and participating in technical meetings with landlords.
- Creates a list of maintenance services and updates it regularly to ensure a qualitative tender process.
- Ensures that the safety, health, image and security requirements are maintained and implemented by our contractual partners with a high quality and satisfaction level of our local teams.
- Selects / guides tenders, negotiates and contracts maintenance services/works and manages the selected external partners following the approved budget and planning.
- Performs regularly maintenance diagnostics of the real estate portfolio and defines a multi-year investment plan.
- Advises and upskills local operation leaders on property maintanace and technical skils.Measures and reviews performances of maintenance decisions made on all real estate portpolio and assets.
- Stay up to date with (innovative) maintenance methods, techniques and standards to identify and apply operational cost savings, CO2 emission decrease opportunities and/or other innovative technical property management solutions.
- Collaborates with global peers to facilitate the integration of tools and process improvements and sharing of best practices.Make decisions and act in emergency situations.
🚀 Construction part in detail:
- Provide engineering and construction expertise by advising, proposing and implementing technical solutions for new store openings, revamping, relocation, sale and leaseback, downsizing and expansion projects, including negotiating wokrs split lists and leading all technical meetings with the landlord
- Coordinate and support technical due diligence processes
- Manage the realisation of the project: select / supervise tenders, negotiate and contracts construction services / works and manage the selected external partners according to the approved budget and schedule and comply with Decathlon's technical specifications, internal safety and security standards, sustainability objectives, local regulations.
- Preparing, assessing and validating the content of permits and sustainable construction certification applications
- Measure and assess performance of building decisions for newly opened and existing stores
- Make decisions and act in emergency situations

- Degree in construction or related field preferred.

💶 SALARY
from 1850€ / month (based on the candidate's experience)
- + Monthly bonus based on the results up to 10% of monthly salary
